- The Objective of the 367 Association is
to provide a focal point for ex-members of 367 Wireless
Unit - subsequently 367 Signals Unit - which operated
from 1942 to 1962, latterly being based at RAF Little Sai
Wan, Hong Kong. Contact with other related units is
encouraged. The Association currently has 160 members, many
of whom have established contact via this web-site.
- The Association was inaugurated in
October, 1993 and the first Reunion was held at The China Fleet Club
in Saltash, Cornwall, U.K. in 1994
- The Association's objectives will be met
by holding at least one annual U.K. reunion for members,
generally at, or close to a site having links with radio
communications or the Royal Air Force.
- In addition, group holiday visits or visits to relevant
locations around the world may be arranged, subject to
there being sufficient support from the Members.
- Since 1993, visits and/or annual
meetings have been held at the RAF Museum at Hendon,
RAF
Digby in Lincolnshire and Bletchley Park Museum. A visit
to Hong Kong was made in January 1997 by a party of 31 members and partners.
- At the 1999 Annual Meeting held at Bletchley Park Museum, it was
agreed that 367 Association be affiliated to 3TU
Association (Australia) and this was ratified at the 2000 Annual Meeting held in October at Eden Camp, near Malton in Yorkshire.
- In 2001, the annual meeting - the eighth - was held at IWM Duxford in September 2001.
- In 2002, the Reunion was held at The China Fleet Country Club, Saltash, Cornwall on 5th October - see the 2002
Report - where the first ever reunion was held.
- and in 2003, the 10th Reunion was held at the Gateway
to York Hotel on Saturday, Oct 4th, - see the Reunion Report
- In 2004, we returned to Bletchley Park on
October 9th for our 11th Reunion, staying just outside Buckingham.
- In 2005, our reunion centred around a
visit to the Museum at RAF Cosford in
Shropshire.
- In 2006, we returned to the London area with
a visit to the RAF Museum at Hendon for those who
hadn't been there for a
while.
- In 2007, a new venue had to be found capable
of providing accommodation and interest for the increasing number of
attendees. We took over the Falstaff Hotel in Leamington Spa for the
largest attendance yet! There was plenty to do in the area - see
Report.
- At the 2007 AGM, a majority of members seemed to
prefer a venue with a specific visit arranged, so in 2008 we plan to visit
the National Space Centre at
Leicester. Keep an eye on this site for more information!
